Mentally Healthy Workplaces

The Victorian WorkCover Authority trading as WorkSafe Victoria (WorkSafe) is a Victorian statutory authority that administers and enforces functions under a number of Acts and Regulations, including the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 (Vic), Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (Vic) and the Dangerous Goods Act 1985 (Vic).

Return to Work Victoria (RTWV) has been created within WorkSafe to centralise and enhance existing return to work supports, while also bringing a new dedicated focus to piloting initiatives to improve prevention and return to work outcomes.

RTWV is committed to trialling new programs and initiatives with input from unions and employer groups, together with mental health and occupational health experts.

WorkSafe is seeking to engage a suitably qualified organisation to provide services within the Mentally Healthy Workplaces program (the Program) to small and medium businesses across Victoria.

The Program aims to increase mental health awareness and build capability of small and medium sized businesses in Victoria through assisting them to:

• Identify psychosocial risks and hazards within their workplace
• Manage identified risks and hazards through analysis and mental health safety action planning
• Monitor and control risks and hazards by providing guidance, tools and resources
