Description

The intent of this activity is for a Supplier to provide a coordinated place-based response that improves feelings of community safety by supporting vulnerable young people engaging in serious anti-social behaviours in or around Stockland shopping centre, Rockhampton (or in another high-demand location in Rockhampton, as negotiated with the Department of Youth Justice).

The service is aligned with the Queensland Youth Partnership Initiative (QYPI). QYPI aims to reduce youth offending, anti-social and problematic behaviour by providing outreach to a particular space (such as shopping centre precincts) and may include other soft engagement activities such as recreational activities, yarning circles and barbecues.

The intent of these outreach and engagement activities is to provide young people with information, advice and referral to address identified needs related to their engagement in antisocial behaviour.
