Services Australia
Interpreter services for international and sign languages
Details
Description
The Department of Human Services (‘the Department’) is issuing this RFT to identify sources of supply of the Requirement that provide best value for money.
1.2 In summary, the Department is seeking the provision of Interpreter Services for International and Sign languages, including Auslan, to supplement the services provided by its own Register of Interpreters and sessional interpreters who are the subject of separate contractual arrangements.
1.3 Services that are subject to the Requirement include on site appointments and services via telephone and videoconferencing which number approximately 1400 appointments per annum, most of them being for Auslan. It is expected that, with the expansion of technological advancements, more Sign language appointments will be conducted by videoconferencing including the ability to provide immediate or on-demand Sign language facilities
