Description
The Department of Justice and Attorney-General is seeking to establish a new Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) for the provision of professional services as receivers over trust property as provided for under the Agents Financial Administration Act 2014 (AFAA).
AFAA requires agents regulated under the Debt Collectors (Field Agents and Collection Agents) Act 2014, the Motor Dealers and Chattel Auctioneers Act 2014 and the Property Occupations Act 2014 to open and operate trust accounts if the agent holds monies on behalf of other parties.
The SOA will be for the provision of receivership services throughout Queensland for a five year period. It is proposed to engage up to 10 suppliers to provide the services.
