Women's Health and Wellbeing Support Services - Townsville

The department is seeking to procure a new women’s health and wellbeing support service in Townsville with up to $280,000 per annum (excl. GST) being available for up to five years. The new service will provide trauma informed counselling and case management support to meet the ongoing needs of women and young women who require assistance to achieve better health and wellbeing.

Services will be prioritised to women who are recovering from experiences of domestic and family violence and other forms of gender-based violence. Services may also deliver targeted community education and implement early intervention strategies to those at higher risk of experiencing gender based health and wellbeing issues. The new service will build on and complement existing service responses already provided by specialist sexual violence services and domestic and family violence services through the delivery of longer term, recovery focused counselling and related activities.
