This project aims to build MDBA's understanding of (1) the benefits of inundation on the productivity of floodplain grazing systems and the multiple flow-on benefits for floodplain graziers, local communities, First Nations people and the environment and (2) how the Basin Plan has affected floodplain grazing systems productivity and associated flow-on impacts on local communities, First Nations people and the environment.

The outputs will imporve the ability of environmental water planners and managers to include the consideration of hte benefits across the quadruple bottom line - including social, cultural, economic and environmental benefits - in their environmental water planning and management decisions.

Outputs will also inform upcoming MDBA programs including the Sustainable Rivers Audit, MDB Outlook, 2025 Basin Plan Evaluation and 2026 Basin Plan Review.
