Details
Description
The Western Australia Police Force Forensic Division Standards and Capability is seeking to establish a panel of suitable suppliers to assemble, store and supply sterile DNA sampling kits that will enable the collection of DNA material from persons.
The Criminal Investigation (Identifying People) Act 2002 enables police officers to collect DNA material by way of mouth (buccal) swabs, hair sample or blood (finger prick) from serious offenders, persons suspected of committing serious offences and volunteers. DNA testing is a vital part of forensic work in detecting criminal activities.
The successful Respondents will be required to assemble, store and deliver state-wide free-in-store (FIS) on an ongoing basis, the following DNA Sampling Kits:
(a) Mouth and Hair Sampling Kits; and
(b) Blood Sampling Kits.
The DNA Sampling Kits will be supplied with all components packaged as a complete unit.
The WA Police Force may award a contract to one or more Respondents.
