WA Public Transport Authority
The Manufacture and Supply of a Rail Infrastructure Recording Vehicle
Details
Description
The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is looking for methods to improve the way it measures and monitors both its track and overhead line infrastructure to ensure its Urban Passenger Network is suitably maintained and in good operating order. The PTA would like to procure a Rail Infrastructure Recording Vehicle (RIRV) installed with Measurement Systems. The RIRV should be a dedicated self-powered rail vehicle that is able to travel along a Narrow Gauge Urban Passenger Network under live overhead conditions during normal rail traffic operational hours, running in between train services. It is to have various track measurement equipment and overhead wire measurement equipment installed, as well as diagnostic, data storage and transmittal systems installed onto the vehicle
