Youth Justice Services Programs

The Department of Corrective Services (DCS), Youth Justice Services Division is issuing this Community Services Request for Youth Justice Services Programs.

As outlined in the Request, DCS seeks to procure youth specific programs and/or services through an open tender procurement process across the following program and/or service areas:

• Rehabilitation (drugs & alcohol, emotional management, protective behaviors, family violence and intergenerational trauma);
• Emotional wellbeing;
• Education, training and employment;
• Life skills, health and development; and
• Bail services.

Programs and services will be required throughout the State, in custody and the community. Cultural competence and collaboration between service providers is essential to achieve improved outcomes for Aboriginal young people. It is therefore the preference of DCS that Respondents, by adopting a collaborative approach, will be able to provide one or more of the five (5) areas of culturally competent programs and/or services by submitting an offer as a sole provider, consortium or as a lead organisation with proposed sub-contracting arrangements.

This Request aligns to the Aboriginal Youth Services Investment Priorities and Principles and the resultant service agreement(s) will provide a culturally competent service for young people to lead law abiding, productive lifestyles.
