Next Step Plus and Extended Post Care Support Program (Sunshine Coast and Central and North Queensland Regions)

The Queensland Government is responsible for ensuring help and support is available to young people in their transition from statutory care to adulthood, so they can function successfully across all life domains and achieve their full potential.

The Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs invites offers from qualified suppliers to deliver Next Step Plus and Extended Post Care Support Program to the following locations:

Service locations

The locations for this tender include:

• Rockhampton and Emerald
• Gladstone
• Bundaberg and Fraser Coast
• Gympie
• Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday (2 services)

The purpose of this tender is to procure services which will deliver a continuum of support to young people in statutory care from their 15^th birthday up until their 25^th birthday. This includes transition from care planning, intensive wrap around support between their 18^th and 21^st birthdays to support their transition to adulthood and ongoing support and information as needed up until their 25^th

The new Extended Post Care Support service response is intended to complement and not duplicate the supports already available in the service system.
