Description

DERM is seeking offers from interested parties to undertake a survey, predominantly desktop in nature, within the defined survey area identified on a map (attachment in the documentation). The survey will not include the current Protected Area Estate. An electronic GIS version of the map is available on request for the purposes of submitting an offer.

The purpose of the survey is to locate, identify and describe significant extractive resources, focussing on the location of unexploited resources on State land while also including regionally significant existing quarry operations on all land tenures. Estimates of quantity and quality and a preliminary geology assessment of the identified significant extractive resources are required.

Under the terms of this project, “significant” extractive resources are defined as those meeting or likely to meet the Key Resource Criteria under State Planning Policy 2-07 Protection of Extractive Resources. A summary of the Key Resource Criteria is included in the documentation.
