Youth Frontiers is an initiative of the NSW Government that targets young people aged 10-17 years that are in contact with the justice and child protection systems, with the capacity to benefit from the support of a mentor. This project is targeted to young Aboriginal people. Young people participating in Youth Frontiers are matched with mentors who spend at least 52 hours over 12 months supporting them to achieve their goals. The program gives mentees an opportunity to build life skills and self confidence through mentoring and by undertaking a community engagement activity.
