Green Hills Cattle Dip Remediation - On-ground Remediation

Remediation of Green Hills disused cattle dip – On-ground Works. The site occurs on Lot 46 on SP117034 (-15.58930, 145.24420 WGS84). The site is defined is approximately two hectares.and is defined as the area within 80 metres of the dip.

The remediation of the site will involve the following scope of works.
• Undertake Detailed Site Investigation to determine the extent of contaminants and to determine natural background levels of contaminants in surrounding soils.
• Develop Remediation Action Plan (RAP)
• Engage earthmoving contractors to implement RAP including transport of impacted soil to landfill site authorised to receive contaminated material.
• Engage contractor to remove and dispose of cattle dip water in an authorised manner.
• Obtain necessary permits; and prepare necessary reports for submission to the Contaminated Land Auditor and the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection (DEHP).
• Liaise with Independent Contaminated Land Auditor to negotiate approval of final outcome with DEHP.
