Biosolids Management - Beechworth, Bright, Chiltern and North Wangaratta

North East Water is seeking to engage the services of Principal Contractors to systematically dry and move primary sludge in lagoons at Bright, Beechworth, Chiltern and North Wangaratta.
Additionally, bio-solids at North Wangaratta require further drying, exporting and stockpiling.
The successful contractor/s will be responsible for screening of primary treated sludge to remove foreign material, drying, stockpiling, cataloguing and transporting bio-solids for storage to Wangaratta.
Lagoons at Chiltern and North Wangaratta sites will require airdrying.
Lagoons at Beechworth and Bright sites have limited options on site and will require mechanical de-watering.
A site visit will be mandatory by any tendering contractor to understand volumes associated with the lagoon desludging.
North East Water requires a Principal Contractor that has a supplier management system that is fully certified by a certifying body against one of the standards / assurance systems listed by both the Department of Treasury (DTF) & Finance and Worksafe.
Contractors have the option to tender for:
• Both airdrying and mechanical dewatering; or
• Airdrying only; or
• Mechanical dewatering only.
