Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services (QPWS) own and operate Fifteen (15) Remote Area Power Supplies (RAPS) at various locations around the State. These systems provide power to Rangers’ bases and it is essential that their operating conditions are kept in good order.
QPWS Rangers perform basic and routine maintenance of the RAPS on site with remote monitoring, servicing and annual inspections provided by external Contractors.
QPWS is seeking submissions from suitably qualified companies employing accredited personnel and has the capacity to undertake the annual inspection, servicing and monitoring program as outlined below.
The initial period of the service contract will be twelve (12) months and will cover the service provisions for nine (9) systems. Another four (4) systems may be included in the service contract during the second year dependent on satisfactory service .performance during the initial period. Two (2) extension options, each for a further twelve months duration are available and may be exercised at the Department’s discretion.
The two (2) systems located on Moreton Island will be excluded from this service contract.
