Description

The Principal invites the Tenderer to submit a Tender for the construction of Stage Two of the Facilitated Camping at the Quarantine Station at Point Nepean National Park as per the attached design/tender documentation.

Point Nepean National Park is a landscape recognised for its natural and cultural significance and is reserved and managed under the National Parks Act 1975. It is also recognised through its inclusion in the National and Victorian Heritage Registers.

The Point Nepean Master Plan 2017 identified camping as a key initiative to activate the Quarantine Station site and design drawings have been prepared for a staged delivery of the project.

The first stage of construction was completed in December 2022.

Stage 2 is to be completed in accordance with the drawings and specifications and other provided documents and will include but not be limited to the following:

- Site establishment

- asbestos removal and demolition of Building 55

- landscape works including tent platforms to establish the woodlands campground (14 sites) in the Moonah Woodland area

- Reception Joinery fitout in Building 65a

- an outdoor BBQ area adjacent to reception Building 65a

- installation of services for buildings, campground, BBQ
