Maryborough and Hervey Bay Youth Support Service

The department is running and open tender process to establish a youth support service, based in Maryborough with an outreach or satellite service in Hervey Bay. Organisations are invited to submit quotes to deliver services that:

• assist vulnerable and at-risk young people to connect to positive family support; get a job or engage in training or education; lead a healthy and violence-free life; and have a safe, stable place to live
• use a client-centred case management approach to holistically assess an individual young person’s challenges and strengths, and works with them to review case plans regularly
• work closely with other agencies that provide services for young people in the areas of education, child safety, youth justice and health, as well as the local council and Queensland Police
• provide a range of services for young people, from intensive support to information advice and referral.
