QPWS requires a new 11-12metre, aluminium, outboard powered, high speed, catamaran or tri-hull, patrol barge with significantly improved sea-keeping capacity as per specifications. The new vessel is required to fulfil the Field Management Program role in the Great barrier Reef World Heritage Area.
