Description
The objectives of the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services (the department) are to improve:
- wellbeing, safety, capability and participation of vulnerable Queenslanders
- liveability, resilience and cohesion in Queensland communities
- capability, sustainability, innovation and productivity of social services system in Queensland.
This Request for Quote (RFQ) is aimed at entities interested in providing services in the Townsville City Local Government Area (LGA) according to the Older People Investment Specifications V2.0.
The purpose of funding is to promote active ageing and support vulnerable older people, 60 and over, who have barriers to accessing their community and personal supports.
The target group is vulnerable older people experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, social isolation.
Service delivery will include activities and opportunities to extend and strengthen personal and community connectedness.
