Description

Transwa is an operating division of the Public Transport Authority (PTA) and provides road and rail services that connect regional towns across Western Australia. The services extend to Kalbarri, Geraldton and Meekatharra in the north, Kalgoorlie in the east and Bunbury, Augusta, Pemberton and Albany in the south, and to Esperance in the southeast. Transwa operates four rail services (Australind – currently operated as coaches until late 2025, Prospector, MerredinLink and AvonLink) and a fleet of 25 road coaches to regional WA, servicing more than 240 locations. The purpose of this procurement is to source a Contractor to provide testing services and chemical analysis of potable water from storage tanks on all Transwa conveyances. Drinking water facilities are provided on Transwa’s railcars and road coaches, and a buffet service on the Prospector and Australind (when in service) rail services. Transwa requires a contractor to provide testing services at regular intervals to ensure the water quality and safety for its passengers.
