Provision of Tipping Bucket Rain Gauges

Regular meteorological observations are recorded by a network of space-based and surface observing systems, with the measurement of precipitation via Tipping Buckets Rain Gauges (TBRG) forming part of this network. These observations provide the basis for all meteorological services and long-term climate monitoring contributing to the Bureau's outcome. TBRGs are used at land stations across the country including, on tropical and sub-tropical islands, in locations exposed to dust and/or salt-laden winds, and on island in the Southern Australia region, and must be able to cope with the various conditions of these areas. This request for tender seeks an ongoing ad hoc supply of TBRGs for the Bureau of Meteorology.
