Provision of Track Geometry Recording Services

This Contract is for the service provision of a mechanised Narrow Gauge Track Recording Vehicle to measure and record the PTA infrastructure using non contact recording system within the urban rail network.

The Service covers the detection of track geometry defects, infrastructure registering and recording in the following sections of railway:

Passenger Railways
Dual Perth Terminal - Midland (Up & Down) 28 km 41 kg/m
Narrow Perth Terminal - Fremantle (Up & Down) 42 km 41 kg/m
Narrow Perth - Armadale (Up & Down) 60 km 41 kg/m
Narrow Armadale - Mundijong (Single) 16 km 41 & 50 kg/m
Narrow Perth - Nowergup (Up & Down) 67 + 2.3 km 50 kg/m
Narrow Beckenham – Thornlie 3km 50 kg/m
Narrow Perth – Mandurah (Up & Down) 71km 50 kg/m
Narrow Nowergup to Butler (Up & Down) 10.6km 50 kg/m

Freight Railways
Dual Robbs Jetty – Fremantle 4.5 km 41 & 47 kg/m
Dual North Fremantle – Toll Yard 0.5 km 50 kg/m

The Total Requirement is
• 1067 mm Narrow Gauge 299.9km
• Dual Gauge (1067 & 1435 mm) 5 km

The above Narrow Gauge requirement includes the Nowergup to Butler (10.6km Up & Down Main) and Clarkson to Nowergup (2.3km Down Main) new rail extension which will be completed in August 2014. Recording and reporting of track to be conducted 4 months from August 2014 (December 2014)
