WA Department of Child Protection and Family Support
Family Support Network Lead Agency
Details
Description
The Children and Community Services Ministerial Body through the Department of Communities (the State Party, also referred to as the Department) is seeking responses from suitable Respondents for the provision of four Family Support Network Lead Agency services (the Service) across the metropolitan area. These will be in the four corridors of Fremantle/Rockingham, Cannington/Armadale, Mirrabooka/Joondalup and Perth/Midland.
The Service is responsible for overall coordination of the Family Support Networks including management of the common entry point for families, integrated governance arrangements and the development of partnerships. The Service will provide an Intensive Case Management service, and an Assessment and Coordination service.
The Service will formally partner with other local support services, via a Memoranda of Understanding, to prioritise support for those families in the local area most vulnerable to involvement with the child protection system and with children most at risk of entering out-of-home care.
Consistent with theDelivering Community Services in Partnership Policy, July 2011 the Department intends to engage with the not-for-profit community service sector and Local Government Authorities for the provision of this service.
