Request for Parenting Services

This Request seeks, through an open and competitive tender process, the provision of Parenting Services to assist parents to:
• manage the challenges of parenting;
• build knowledge, skills and confidence;
• understand children’s development; and
• identify local community supports and other relevant networks.

It is expected that services will be provided on a universal basis and will target parents with children aged 0 to 18 years.

Parenting Services must be accessible to the diverse range of parents throughout Western Australia who may require different methods of engagement and support. It is expected that each Parenting Service will adapt its approach to best meet the identified need with particular regard for the following areas of focus:
• Aboriginal families;
• Culturally and Linguistically Diverse families;
• Father and male caregivers; and
• Young parents.

At a service delivery level, it is expected that Parenting Services will connect and engage with the community in which the service is provided.

Preference will be given to proposals that reflect a partnership approach including those that demonstrate strong connections and relationships with other providers of parenting and related services.
