Description
The Contractor must maintain sufficient staff, skills, equipment and spares holdings to carry out the following functions, activities and tasks for PTA’s signalling equipment:
• Cyclic Maintenance on equipment as outlined in schedules provided by PTA;
• Minor renewals to the network including co-ordination with other areas of PTA such as Electrical and Track & Civil to avoid clashes;
• Support with construction of small to medium-sized projects;
• Provide second line maintenance and support to PTA's signalling for field operations, in the servicing and installation of signalling, road and pedestrian crossing protection and associated signalling systems equipment, on an “as required” basis. The Contractor must follow existing servicing procedures. Where these do not exist or are inadequate the Contractor must develop suitable procedures for PTA approval;
• Procurement of materials and maintain a register of quotations asked and received in accordance with Government Procurement Guidelines, including providing a "materials management" function, including pick-up, delivery, packaging, loading and unloading;
• Engineering services including preparation of and checking of designs for testing and commissioning of new and existing signalling and protected level crossing systems;
• Preparation of signalling drawings including checking and drafting to PTA requirements.
