Request for Supply, Installation and Maintenance of Vessel Moorings and Related Services throughout Western Australia

DoT has introduced mooring management regimes in proclaimed Mooring Control Area’s (MCA) in Mangles Bay - Rockingham, Peel, Oyster Harbour - Albany and Carnarvon Fascine, with the intention of proclamation for further Mooring Control Areas State-wide. These are in addition to the areas already managed by the Department of Transport.

Importantly, DoT provides a network of public courtesy moorings and emergency moorings along the WA coastline to service the growing number of recreational vessels transiting along the coast and to provide a safe alternative for boat owners who have in the past installed unauthorised moorings used only on a casual basis.

The introduction of MCA's across the state has highlighted the need for DoT to engage the services of an experienced mooring contractor to undertake works for installation, maintenance, removal and all additional services as required on an ongoing basis.
