Description

The Department of Environment and Science (DES) is seeking the services of a suitably qualified professional contractor to undertake quarterly groundwater monitoring from bores near Hopeland, Queensland.

The objective of the program is to gain an:

  • Understanding the current extent of groundwater contamination at the site from historical activities
  • Understanding temporal changes in contaminant concentrations over time as a result of current and future site and surrounding activities.

The following works are required to be completed:

  • Undertake wireline groundwater monitoring at up to twenty-one (21) groundwater bores located at Hopeland.
  • Undertake groundwater monitoring on a quarterly basis for four (4) quarters commencing in the September quarter 2020.
  • Provide four (4) comprehensive/interpretative quarterly groundwater monitoring reports and a final report summarising all four (4) groundwater sampling events.
  • Develop detailed safety documents and conduct pre-operational safety demonstrations. Documents and demonstrations will be reviewed by a third party safety auditor.
