Description

The Queensland Government engages organisations to deliver Neighbourhood and Community Centre services to:
• Provide a universal point of access for individuals and families to obtain support and advocacy services
• Deliver activities and events for the local community
• Promote social connectedness and build capacity within communities.
Under the Community Investment Specification the successful supplier will contribute to the following outcomes:
• Increased ability for individuals and community groups to participate positively in their community
• Improved access to individual support services
• Increase public awareness of the needs and issues experienced by vulnerable Queenslanders
• Improved liveability, resilience and cohesion in Queensland communities.
The following SA2 geographic locations (Cannon Hill catchment) apply to this procurement activity:
• 303011048 Cannon Hill
• 303011049 Carina
• 303011051 Carindale
• 303021053 Coorparoo
• 305021117 Morningside - Seven Hills
• 301031017 Murarrie
• 301031018 Tingalpa.
This will be achieved under the Community Investment Specification version 3 (see page 5) under the, Access – Community Support (T101).
Service type 1 - an Access – Community Support service
o Access – Community Support (T101), delivered under the Community Investment Specification, provides for service delivery which enhances community capacity for individuals and groups, and promotes greater public awareness of social issues for people who live in a defined geographic area. The aim is to respond to identified and emergent needs of the local community, with a priority on vulnerable individuals and families.
o This service will be delivered for three years and five months from 1 May 2020 for the contracted price.
Important Note:
The service specified above is to be centre-based and located in one of the geographic locations listed above. The successful Supplier is expected to have suitable premises located within the catchment. Service delivery is expected to commence from 1 May 2020.
