Phases 3 & 4 Geotechnical Investigations, for Perth Major Stadium Sports Precinct and Transport Infrastructure

Ongoing detailed geotechnical investigations are required for the Perth Major Stadium Project, for the stadium, sports precinct and transport infrastructure, including Belmont Park Station upgrade, new train tracks from Burswood Station to Goongoongup Rail Bridge, extensions to the road and pedestrian bridges over Graham Farmer Freeway and a new pedestrian bridge over the Swan River between the stadium and Claisebrook South. Phase 3 detailed site investigations and reporting are required as input to the RFPs for all Design and Construct contracts for the project. Phase 3A commences immediately on award. Phase 3B is scheduled to commence on 1Mar13, subject to project timelines. Ongoing Phase 4 geotechnical advice commences immediately on award and is required during RFP, tender evaluation and construction periods for all the works and during a subsequent 3 year period of ground movement, groundwater and structure movement monitoring known as the performance guarantee period after handover of the various works. The contract for the Phase 3 and 4 investigations is to run for about 9 years from award (Sep 2012) to September 2021.
