Network and Server Hardware Equipment - Bill of Materials

1. Background

The PTA has a requirement to replace IT network and hardware across seven projects in its asset renewal program (PARP). Four of these projects require new hardware due to existing hardware approaching or already reaching end of life. As such, PTA is operating at elevated risk levels with respect to support for the existing Network equipment. Three of these projects require new hardware due to newly identified requirements.

1. Scope of Requirements

The current PTA IT network and projects underway is based on Cisco infrastructure. Alternative vendor equipment will not interoperate with the current and planned technologies utilised within the PTA IT network. Considerable investment has already been made in building the current PTA IT network and the knowledge and skillset of PTA personnel supporting the network.

The Public Transport Authority seeks to procure Cisco Hardware, Support & Maintenance for upcoming projects and to replace existing equipment within its Corporate and Operational IT Network.

The PTA requires the supply and delivery of the specified hardware, which pertains to the following projects:

• UCS M4 replacement
• VDI server replacement
• Internet router replacement
• PTC LAN replacement
• SD WAN hardware replacement
• Metronet hardware
• DNAC
• Additional optics
