Optimising the Soldier for Littoral Operations - Army Innovation Day 2024
Details
Description
Army Innovation Day 2024 Challenge:
Army must enhance the endurance, lethality and survivability of soldiers in response to the challenges of future operations in increasingly complex, distributed, regional and littoral environments. How do we grow, equip, train, deploy and sustain an Army of the future that is able to operate in austerity, at scale and in a technologically enhanced way applicable to the Littoral challenges prevalent in our region.
Army seeks submissions demonstrating innovative capabilities to enhance the endurance, lethality and survivability of soldiers operating in distributed littoral environments. Emerging and disruptive technologies should drive new concepts to achieve military effects and / or enhance and compliment existing capabilities.
For Army Innovation Day 2024, Army places elevated emphasis on ‘speed to capability’ innovations. Innovation with capacity to disrupt traditional ‘linear’ capability models is sought to deliver accelerated realisation of credible capability into the hands of soldiers. This Challenge is focused on systems that meet a minimum Technology Readiness Level (TRL) span of TRL 5 through TRL 8. Submissions must provide Army with Minimum Prototype Quantity (MPQ) of technologies / systems with characteristics and capacity to facilitate Test and Evaluation (T&E) evolutions within dedicated Army units. Submissions must be viable, achieved in collaboration with Army, for T&E by the conclusion of Q3 CY 2026.
