Provision of Geotechnical Drilling and Field Support Services

PURPOSE

This invitation to offer has been issued to establish a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) for the provision of geotechnical drilling and field support services for use by the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and other interested Government authorities. The Eligible Customer intends to enter into an arrangement across Queensland capable of supplying the required services as per clause 3.1.Scope of Work

This tender is to provide equipment for undertaking geotechnical investigation and field services. In order to obtain selection to this Panel, Contractors are required to meet the mandatory and desired technical criteria. Requirements for contractors are specified in section 4.2 and the Users Guide to TMRGeo2104 document.

Contractors are required for the following work categories:
Category 1. Geotechnical Drilling including associated plant and Barge hire. Drilling shall be performed in accordance with the Department of Transport and Main Roads “Users Guide”.
Mandatory requirement – ALL drilling contractors and drillers must possess a current Certificate 3 in Drilling Operations and where applicable a Class 1 driller’s water bore license in accordance with ADITC.

Category 2. Water supply and Haulage

Category 3 Non-destructive utility service location, vacuum waste excavation and disposal of waste

Category 4. Location of underground services (utility assets).

Category 5. Specialised Field-Testing Services including but not limited to Cone Penetrometer testing (CPT) and G Geophysical surveys

Category 6 Geotechnical Equipment supplies / consumable contractor
