The Tasmanian Audit Office (TAO) is seeking tenders to carry out the audit of the Hydro-Electric Corporation (Hydro) as Appointee for the Auditor-General under section 36 of the Audit Act 2008 (the Act).
The audit engagement is for the three financial years ending 30 June 2013 to 2015 with an option to extend until 30 June 2017 subject to the agreement of both parties.
The Hydro was established as a Commission by the Hydro-Electric Commission Act 1944 and corporatised by the Hydro-Electric Corporation Act 1995. The Corporation trades as Hydro Tasmania.
