Toowoomba HomeStay Support

The Department of Housing has issued this Invitation to Offer (ITO) with the objective of procuring a high-quality supplier to deliver value for money HomeStay Support Services to people in Toowoomba and Southern Downs Local Government Areas (LGAs).

The HomeStay Support Initiative, under the Homelessness Program, delivers essential services in providing prevention and post crisis support to people who are housed, but are at risk of losing their housing and becoming homeless. HomeStay Support is a prevention and early intervention response funded as part of the Homelessness Program. HomeStay Support plays a critical role within the homelessness service system, does not duplicate existing support services and offers the department a flexible response to breaking the cycle of homelessness.

Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) employ a case management approach to working with clients to ensure their housing and other needs are met to support a sustainable housing outcome. This includes connecting clients with the appropriate support through mainstream and allied services, such as mental health and disability services as required.
