Description

The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for Bloomis Point Precinct Plan.

The Department is working in partnership with Gunggandji-Mandingalbay Yidinji Peoples Prescribed Body Corporate (GMYPPBC) to develop a precinct plan for Bloomis Point, to establish pathways for the organisation’s plans for future development in the area. The vision for this project is to support the aspirations of GMYPPBC and the wider GMY peoples for the future growth of their land, in accordance with best practice development that promotes sustainability and longevity.

The precinct plan will encompass several aspects of the GMYPPBC’s intended prospects for future development. It will involve the development of a multi-faceted precinct plan to provide in-depth planning options for an eco-lodge, visitors centre, administration offices with multi-purpose meeting room, ranger base, and ranger works depot. The plans shall consider how the local community may benefit through the creation of jobs and economic opportunities, while maintaining and promoting the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the area.
