Description
Queensland Rail Limited (“Queensland Rail”) invites the Tenderer to submit a proposal for the maintenance painting of the Albert Bridge over the Brisbane River at Indooroopilly. The planned scope of maintenance painting is spot clean and covercoat of all steel elements on the two truss spans.
Constructed in the late 1890’s the bridge remains an integral part of the suburban passenger train network. Queensland Rail envision the bridge continuing in service for the foreseeable future, therefore it is essential that the bridge protective coating effectively addresses the corrosion issues unique to structures of this period, while minimising the whole of life cost of the asset.
