Description
The Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS) requires the design, construction, supply, and delivery of a new fit for purpose Small (12-15m) Research Vessel, a vessel Tender, and a compatible boat lifting dock (Air Dock).
The purpose of this invitation is to seek expressions of interest (EOI) from Vessel Constructors to provide a Vessel that will enable continued support for AIMS marine operations through its small vessel fleet in Townsville, QLD, which supports a wide variety of research and maintenance teams.
The Vessel is intended to be used in the vicinity of Townsville to access islands, reefs, moorings, marinas, wharfs, jetties, estuaries, shipwrecks, beaches, and lagoons. The Vessel will be used for launch and retrieval of scientific equipment, diving, towing, and vessel transfers to larger research and charter vessels.
