PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA (PathWest) provides pathology services to four major tertiary teaching hospitals, metropolitan and rural public sector hospitals, private medical and pathology practices and regional areas throughout Western Australia.

Anatomical Pathology services at the King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH) provide testing on samples referred from the respective site and Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) for histopathology and cytology diagnostic analyses.

A fully automated rapid tissue processor is required to form part of a rapid continuous throughput laboratory system to provide same day reporting of biopsies.

PathWest is seeking offers for the Supply, Installation, Commissioning, Training and Optional Post-Warranty Maintenance of One (1) Fully Automated Rapid Tissue Processor at the KEMH site.

The Processor is to provide fully automated, low toxicity, rapid continuous tissue processing to assist the laboratory in meeting the operational work volume requirements for the processing and reporting of all biopsies.
