Evaluation of the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) Australian Brain Cancer Mission

The Department of Health (Department) requires the services of a supplier to conduct an evaluation of the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF)’s Australian Brain Cancer Mission (the Mission) to assess its progress in line with the Australian Government’s 10-year MRFF investment plan and the MRFF’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Strategy (MRFF Strategy), and to guide investment from 2022-23

In delivering the review, the Supplier will:

• provide secretariat, research, and coordination support for the review
• develop a project plan outlining the approach for the review, following an inception meeting with the Department
• undertake a desktop review of MRFF funded projects and partner funded projects under the Australian Brain Cancer Mission, plus other projects relating to brain cancer research across the MRFF, and other brain cancer research projects funded nationally and internationally
• conduct surveys and interviews with grant recipients and key stakeholders to better understand progress with Mission projects and gather views on the Mission and brain cancer research in Australia more broadly; and
• develop a report with key findings and insights, for publication on the Department of Health’s website.
