Description
Patrol Vessel (PV) Geographe is a twelve (12) metre Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB) owned by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD). The existing air filled collars require replacing with foam collars. Construction of collars will be of EVA Closed Cell Foam with an outer protective fabric of high quality material such as Hypalon or TPU (Polyurethane) or equivalent. Currently equipped with air filled collars (side tubes) the vessel has aged, and the collars are in poor condition. By replacing with hard collars, the life expectancy of the tubes is significantly increased, and the general stability of the vessel is improved.
