Design and Construction of New Floating Pens at Carnarvon Boat Harbour

The WUC includes but is not limited to, the following:

• Design, construction, management and supervision of the WUC for a new floating boat pen system and associated infrastructure at the Carnarvon Boat Harbour;
• Preparation and submission of management documentation, design documentation and the like in accordance with this Specification;
• Demolition of existing Shore Pens numbers 1 and 2, including disposal of existing abutment, walkway and mooring piles, and, undertaking a seabed clean-up which includes removal of an adjacent submerged walkway remnant;
• Reinstatement of the rock revetment to the extent indicated on the drawings;
• Full extraction (where possible), removal and disposal of existing steel Shore Pen piles;
• Removal of existing services on shore pens 1 and 2, such as potable water, electrical final sub-circuits and cable pathways back to existing shore pens distribution board;
• Design, supply, certification and installation of new piles;
• Design, supply and installation of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sleeves to piles;
• Design, supply, fabrication and installation of pontoon walkways and fingers, fender system and associated fittings and fixtures to form walkways and pens;
• Design, fabrication and installation of a new access gangway, to fit with the new floating pen system;
• Design, supply, fabrication, installation and commissioning of services (electrical, potable water) to all berths including new service pillars, fire hose reels and cabinets, fire hydrants, fire alarms and a new distribution board adjacent to the new jetty abutment;
• Supply and install electrical infrastructure to provide power to a new Jetty distribution board adjacent to the new jetty abutment from the existing Land Backed Wharf switchboard;
• Submit and complete all relevant notices and certificates as required by Energy Safety and the Inspecting Authority;
• Supply and installation of signage;
• Onshore works including stairway, handrailing, fences, gates, lighting, abutment for gangway, earthworks and roadworks in vicinity of abutment; and
• Preparation and supply of an Operation and Maintenance Manual (including as-constructed documentation) at the completion of the new floating system or otherwise as agreed with the Superintendent.
