Australian Government Department of Industry, Science and Resources
Provision of: (2) Analytical Balances and three (3) Precision Balances for use in the Australian Ultra Trace Laboratory
Details
Description
The Chemical and Biological Metrology Branch (ChemBio) of the National Measurement Institute (NMI) requires two analytical balances and three precision balances to replace old balances approaching end of life.
The two analytical balances and one precision balance will be used in the Australian Forensic Drug Lab (AFDL) to accurately weigh amounts of samples and reference material to assist qualitative and quantitative analysis of illicit drugs and drug intelligence analysis.
The current Digital System Control used in AFDL is Mettler Toledo ‘Lab X’ software. Integrating the new balances may require an upgrade, replacement or substitution of software offered by the tenderer.
The remaining two precision balances will be used in the Australian Ultra Trace Laboratory (AUTL) to accurately weight samples and standards in support of operations.
