WA Public Transport Authority
Provision of Wi-Fi Base Station Antennas
Details
Description
Background
As part of the Driver Assist Video System (DAVS) migration project, PTA wishes to acquire a WiFi transmission system, which consists of access points, vehicle mounted clients, RFID equipment and antennas (WiFi and RDIF) and related network devices.
Scope of Requirement
This project is for the provision of WiFi access points at a total of 77 stations, containing 173 platforms. The WiFi system is only for the train DAVS system and is NOT for general public use. Therefore, RF coverage for each station will focus only on the train stopping positions. It is likely that most stations will require 2 access points, with a small number of ‘odd’ stations that may require 5 or 6 access points. This tender is only for the supply of platform mounted WiFi antennas.
PTA wishes to receive pricing for a range of antennas, broadly categorised by the following:
- Colinear or dipole (tubular) omnidirectional antenna – single band and dual band
- Panel antenna – single band and dual band
- Sector antenna – single band and dual band
All three types are required for operation on 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz WiFi bands.
Multiple models within each type may be offered.
