Description
The Public Transport Centre (PTC) on West Parade in East Perth was built in the 1970s at a time when asbestos was a common building and insulation material. A large amount of asbestos has already been removed from the PTC since the ban of its use in Australia in the 1980s. Some asbestos has remained, however, where it is integral to the structure of the building or where it has been safely sealed, encapsulated and controlled.
