Scope of Work: DBCA wishes to undertake a review of its insurance management practices and processes, with the following issues identified: Assets may not be adequately insured, in terms of value and comprehensive registration of insurable assets.Knowledge of policy and its application is decentralised and perhaps immature in some areas.Claims management is decentralised and the approach to analysis and review of insurance claims and outcome to provide for continuous improvement may not be consistent.Self-insurance declaration may not be mature, strategic, and thorough.A consistent engagement may be required for risk assessments to inform level of insurances required for Request/Tender development (contract formation) and the Insurance Commission of WA review of contracts. The Terms of Reference will be: Undertake a gap analysis (expanding on the above 5 areas).Make recommendations as to – best practice to ensure properly insured and continuous improvement in management of insurable risks. governance structure. c roles and responsibilities.
