BACKGROUND
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) owns and maintains public boating infrastructure (boat ramps, pontoons, jetties and breakwaters) in the three Metropolitan Boat Harbours. Maritime Safety Queensland (MSQ) is responsible for management and maintenance of the facilities available for use by the public. These include boat ramps, pontoons, walkways and steps.
PURPOSE
Assist with maintaining the amenity, access and public safety of the three Brisbane boat harbours.
OBJECTIVES/SCOPE
- Provide competent and reliable staff to undertake professional pressure cleaning activities on harbour infrastructure.
- Clean marine growth from boat ramps, stairs and landings.
- Remove dirt, grime and slime from bin shrouds.
- Remove dirt, grime and slime from concreted areas.
- Implement safe work practices and methodology.
- Use proven environmentally safe methods for each application.
