Description
The Mid West Groundwater Dependent Ecosystem study involves determining the water sources (groundwater, vadose zone soil moisture) used by vegetation at ten study sites. The Department of Water has collected plant samples (twigs), soil samples at depth intervals, and groundwater. It requires analysis of these samples for δ2H and/or δ18O. Most of the plant samples are Melaleuca, Eucalyptus, Banksia, Acacia.
