Description

The Department of Defence has a requirement for an Instrument Switching Network (ISN) that Defence requires to upgrade the capability of its simulation laboratory located at the Defence Science and Technology Organisation Edinburgh South Australia.

Defence’s Missile Simulation Hardware in the Loop Facility is undergoing an upgrade. The Advanced Radar Environment Simulator (ARES) is a major part of this upgrade.The ARES will contain five Radar Frequency channels;four through-air channels, plus one rear reference channel.

The system is being designed in a modular fashion.One such model of the ARES is the Instrument Switch Network referred to as the ISN.
