Description
The Department of Water has contracted with a drilling contractor to install groundwater investigation and monitoring bores at 12 (twelve) sites in the North Gingin area. Of these sites, 4 (four) are either on soft sand or areas susceptible to water-logging and will require installation of a crushed limestone or gravel work area or ‘drill pad’ to provide the drilling contractors with a safe and readily accessible working area.
Each site will be used by a 42 (forty two) tonne drill rig and support vehicles, and will need to be constructed to withstand constant use for a period of approximately 60 (sixty) days. The drill pads are required to last a minimum of 52 weeks from install.
