Description
The existing Computerised Medical Systems (CMS) support contract is extremely important to the Department of Radiation Oncology (DRO) at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) as the Department is totally reliant on its CMS treatment planning system.
Each patient treated in the DRO will have a treatment plan created using the CMS treatment planning system. The treatment plan cannot be created without using this system as it combines the patients own CT anatomy together with the sophisticated radiotherapy planning algorithm to produce the radiation dose distribution that will treat the cancer. The planning system is fully integrated with the department's radiotherapy equipment.
